Throughout the pandemic Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre has prioritized health and safety to provide a safe facility for all members, program participants, guests, and staff. LITC’s demographics, ranging from young children, who are not yet eligible for vaccination, to seniors and those who may be immunocompromised, is an important consideration in developing our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
As of October 1st, 2021, Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre will require proof of vaccination for Covid-19 to access the facility. This means that anyone age 12 and older will be required to provide proof of vaccination to the Front Desk. This includes all members, program participants, guests, coaches, and employees of Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre. This policy will remain in place until further notice. A fully vaccinated individual is defined as a person who is 14 days (2 weeks) past receiving their second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine series. The vaccine series must be approved by Health Canada (Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson). In addition to our Vaccination Policy, members, guests, and staff will be required to continue following all existing Saskatchewan Health Authority Public Health & Safety policies such as the mandatory mask policy, physical distancing, and any other public health measures instituted by the province, and/or the city. VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
Any non-vaccinated members, program participants or guests will be given access to Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre provided they can show proof of a negative test result.
REFUNDS & CREDITS FOR NON-VACCINATION OR NON-COMPLIANCE Any program participant or member who is not vaccinated and/or refuses to participate in LITC programming or membership due to their vaccination status will be eligible for the following:
MASK POLICY Masks will remain mandatory in all areas of LITC
NEXT STEPS AND ACTION PLAN – As of October 1, 2021 All active LITC members, program participants, guests, coaches and employees must provide documentation of vaccination to the Front Desk before and/or starting on October 1, 2021. For members and program participants, this information will only need to be provided once. Guests/spectators will be required to show proof of vaccination each time they enter the club. Front Desk staff will verify each vaccination record and update the member and program participant record in our database records. This information will remain private and confidential. Only LITC staff will be able to see this information for facility access purposes and we will not share this information. PROCESS FOR PROOF OF VACCINATION Starting on October 1, 2021, all patrons 12 years of age and older who wish to gain access to LITC are required to show one of the following documents at the Front Desk upon entry into our facility.
Along with a proof of vaccination, LITC will require ID from anyone 18 and older. Youth aged 12-17 will also need to show ID unless accompanied by an adult with proof of vaccination and ID. Youth aged 12 to 17, visiting a business without an adult, who do not have photo identification will be allowed to present other forms of government issued identification such as birth certificate or health services card. Patrons under 12 years old are not required to show the above documents to enter the facility, however, they must wear a mask at all times, including when playing tennis. Parents/guardians are required to show one of the above documents to gain access to the facility (including drop-off and pick-up). FINAL THOUGHTS The policy will be reviewed regularly and will be updated as the situation evolves. In the event, Public Health authorities recommend a further vaccination obligation, all members, program participants, guests and staff will be advised, and this vaccination policy will be updated to include the further obligations. We ask our members, program participants, guests, and staff to understand the pressures we are all facing during the pandemic. Please be kind and respectful of our staff. Any belligerent or aggressive behaviour or the refusal to obey public health orders will not be tolerated in our Centre.
