A new session of programs starts in January. Registration is now open for all Junior Programs and Adult Programs online, over the phone at 306-955-2226, or in person at the club. Check out our Adult Programs and FUNdamentals Junior Programs below.
Starting with our January Winter Session (Registration Open Now) our FUNdamentals Junior Program will have new age ranges for each class. Parent/Tot Tennis remains for 4-5 year-olds, but all other programs have the following age-range changes: Red Tennis: Ages 5-7, Orange Tennis: Ages 8-10, Green Tennis: Ages 10-12, and the new Teen Tennis: Ages 13-17. These new age ranges will help better prepare players for whatever path they choose to take in tennis, recreational or competitive. If your child is currently enrolled in a FUNdamentals Junior Program, they will be receiving a Report Card before this session finishes. Included will be a recommendation for which program they should join next session. For a full list of FUNdamentals Junior Program options, including registration information, visit lakewoodtennis.com/junior-lessons
Additionally, we are starting a new program for junior players under age ten (born 2008-2012) with an interest in competitive tennis. Our new Future Stars Program will have a competitive focus and prepare players to one-day join our Provincial or City training groups. Players in the Future Stars Program will progress quickly towards playing at the Tennis Canada-recommended ball and court levels for competitive development, but prior competitive experience is not required for acceptance to the program. If your child is enjoying tennis and can rally comfortably, then this program would be a great fit for them. For more information about the Future Stars Junior Program, please reach out to me by email at latchfordcolin@gmail.com. If you have any questions about any of our Junior or Adult programs, don’t hesitate to reach out to me by email or start a conversation in person. My goal is to create the best possible programs for our member and player population, so your feedback is always appreciated!
