Dates of Play
These are the dates of play:

  • January 11, 18, 25,
    February 1, 8, 15, 22,
    March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29,
April 12, 19 (we skip April 5th due to the Easter break and the difficulty finding subs).

Although League member, Roberto Pagnin, has sold his Taverna Italian Restaurant, he has ensured that the new owner will continue to sponsor our League.
Many thanks for your past and continuing support, Roberto!
If any one of us frequents the Taverna Italian Restaurant, let’s please thank the new owner, Taso Kangles, for his support.

The winners of the 3 catagories for the fall session are:

Sub list

  • The sub list is the list of players approved to sub for this league.  The reason we need to “approve” a sub is to ensure that players call their subs of roughly equal strength.

This means that if you’re a C player, you can call only C subs.  B players can call B and C subs, and A players can call any subs on this list.

  • When calling a sub, please remind them of the start time of 7:00 p.m. sharp.

If you or your sub are not on court by 7:10 p.m. (when the bell tolls), you get zero points for that match.

  • The sub list will likely grow as more players respond to confirm that they will sub for us.

Scoring

  • As we did last year, we accrue 3 points for a won match, 2 points for a tie and 1 point for a loss.  So the maximum points accrued in one evening will be 6 points.
  • If your match is clearly lopsided in skill level, the four players can agree that the stronger team gets 3 points for each player and the other two players each get 1 point, and then they can switch the teams around whichever way they choose for the remainder of the hour.
  • The trophies at the end of the season will be awarded based on individual points, even though we have team playoffs at the end of the season.
